Their position secured, the Five went on the offensive. They ensured the security of their base by helping the Grey Wizard Christoph Engel cast spells of protection over both the Inn and his tower, repulsing a large Skaven assault on the tower in the process. They then retrieved Ubersreik's grain supplies from the market, using them to keep the shattered garrison fed, and slaughtered the Skaven forces garrisoning the sewers to allow more supplies to be brought in that way. Their first mission was to fight their way to the Horn of Magnus and ring the bell, warning the land of Fester's invasion. They were spirited to and from the Red Moon Inn by a mysterious Kislevite named Oleysa, who drove their carriage. In these missions the Five often conversed at length, steadily building an esprit de corps that surpassed their initial mutual suspicions. Yet the five were always successful, and Lohner always had more for them to do. In each mission they faced overwhelming odds and slew vast numbers of Skaven, including Clanrats, Stormvermin, weapons specialists (Ratling Gunners, Warpfire Throwers, Poisoned-Wind Globadiers, etc.), Gutter Runners, and even Rat Ogres.

Over the following months, the Ubersreik Five launched dozens of missions against the forces of Clan Fester. Though they all could've left, each agreed to stay and fight the ratmen for their own reasons.

They get hit by warpfire throwers, face chaos, get mutant blood all over themselves, walked through a warp gate twice and survived a point blank warp meteor explosion without even getting a little bit deformed. One thing that was pointed out in the thread that what makes them truly exceptional is the fact that they haven't gotten corrupted. But they're still not even close to the level of power of some of the most в™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґ characters like Gotrek. They can take on entire regiments on their own.
